| CATEGORY | SCORE | TREND | KEY VERSE | WHY IT’S HOT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Persia (Iran) | 5 | — | Ezek 38:5 | The index’s comment, in full: “Iran has been more active on the world stage.” Understatement is also at a record high. |
| Israel | 5 | — | Zech 12:3 | “Some of the worst violence in years,” per the index. The scale stops at 5; the category has nowhere left to go. |
| Gog (Russia) | 5 | ▲ | Ezek 38:2 | Upgraded to max. The comment on file still reads, in its entirety, “Putin invaded Ukraine.” Hard to argue. |
| Global Turmoil | 5 | ▲ | Matt 24:6 | Middle East warfare pushed it to the ceiling, per the index. The category name does its own reporting. |
| Leadership | 5 | ▲ | Dan 2:21 | “Iran War has maxxed out this category” — verbatim, double-x and all. |
| Nuclear Nations | 5 | — | 2 Pet 3:10 | Nuclear spending up 11%, per the index. Iran’s program is the stated worry; it is not the only line item. |
| Arms Proliferation | 5 | — | Joel 3:9–10 | Plowshares into swords at post-WWII scale. Everyone’s buying. |
| Oil Supply/Price | 5 | ▲ | Rev 6:6 | Back at conflict highs, per the index. Still the prophecy footnote with a spot price. |
| Inflation | 5 | ▲ | Hag 1:6 | “Oil prices push inflation higher,” per the index. Wages in a bag with holes, as the verse has it. |
| Anti-Semitism | 5 | ▲ | Zech 2:8 | At decades-high levels, per the index. Not a category anyone here jokes about. |
| Mark of the Beast | 5 | ▲ | Rev 13:16–17 | CBDC pilots, digital ID mandates, big-tech tracking software, per the index. The infrastructure keeps shipping. |
| Earthquakes | 5 | ▲ | Matt 24:7 | Venezuela, the US, and Japan in one stretch, per the index. “Divers places,” as specified. |
| Moral Standards | 5 | ▲ | 2 Tim 3:1–5 | Upgraded to max after a run at 4 dating to roughly the invention of television. Progress, of a kind. |

Third Temple built 2 Thess 2:4 Temple Institute has the blueprints and the furniture. Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock have the location. The site is sacred to three religions and administered under a Jordanian-Israeli status quo that has held since 1967. Altering it would be the match, not the fire.

SIGNS
“About that day or hour no one knows” — Matt 24:36
Mapped to: the calendar is deep into July with every dated call — the Jun 21 “D-Day,” the May 22–23 window, the Passover setting before them — passed without incident; the newest chatter has pivoted to a comet said to “end the world” in 2026. Fact-checkers keep noting the dated calls contradict one another. The verse above is the one the forums keep scrolling past. -
WAR
“I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains” — Ezek 38:21
Mapped to: US/Israel strikes on Iranian mountain military installations. The geography is doing a lot of heavy lifting in prophecy forums right now. -
WAR
“Against Elam I will bring the four winds” — Jer 49:36
Mapped to: Iran (ancient Elam). Four winds = attacks from multiple directions. US Navy from the south, Israel from the west, US Air Force from the east. Three out of four winds confirmed. -
TRADE
“A quart of wheat for a day’s wages” — Rev 6:6
Mapped to: Brent near $72 and WTI near $68, a post-war low as Gulf barrels return and Hormuz flows rebuild past 10M b/d. Iran still warns vessels onto its designated lanes and floats “services fees” the US rejects, where 20% of global oil normally transits. -
TECH
“It forced all people to receive a mark” — Rev 13:16
Mapped to: CBDCs in 130 countries. AI-powered surveillance. Digital ID. The “image of the beast” crowd has pivoted from barcodes to large language models. Progress. -
NATURE
“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars” — Luke 21:25
Mapped to: Solar maximum cycle 25 is the strongest in 20 years. Northern lights visible as far south as Texas. Technically just solar physics but try telling that to the prophecy forums. -
DECEPTION
“Even the elect would be deceived” — Matt 24:24
Mapped to: Deepfakes, AI-generated everything, information environment where nobody can tell what’s real. If Matthew were writing today he’d just link to any social media platform. -
TEMPLE MOUNT
“He will set himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God” — 2 Thess 2:4
Mapped to: The Third Temple prerequisite. For dispensationalists the temple must be rebuilt before the Antichrist can desecrate it. Al-Aqsa Mosque currently occupies the site. The theological requirement and the geopolitical reality are on a collision course that has lasted 1,956 years and counting. -
DIPLOMACY
“When people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,’ destruction will come” — 1 Thess 5:3
Mapped to: a signed road map and a holding ceasefire, with Hormuz still mined and both sides disputing what the text actually says. The peace-and-safety-then-sudden-destruction pattern is, unfortunately, a fair description of how ceasefires in this region tend to go. -
DATE-SETTING
The date-setters have a derivatives market now.
Prediction markets are taking real money on the Second Coming happening in 2026 — Christian commentators are split between alarm and amusement, noting Matt 24:36 is fairly explicit on the odds. Dated calls keep expiring without incident; the Jun 21 “D-Day” and the Jun 22 Pentecost “glorified bodies” window have both now passed as quietly as the May dates before them, each counted 1,260 days back from a May 14, 2033 Second Coming; the channels reframe around a 2026–2028 arc rather than retract. Index at 185.
The compound known as the Temple Mount to Jews, the Noble Sanctuary (Haram al-Sharif) to Muslims, and the Holy Esplanade to some Christians sits on roughly 35 acres in the southeastern corner of Jerusalem’s Old City. It is, by any reasonable measure, the most contested piece of real estate on Earth.
What’s there now. The Dome of the Rock (built 691 CE) and Al-Aqsa Mosque (completed early 700s CE) occupy the platform. Al-Aqsa is Islam’s third holiest site — the place the Prophet Muhammad is believed to have ascended to heaven during the Night Journey. For Jews, the same bedrock is where Abraham bound Isaac and where the First and Second Temples stood until Rome destroyed the last one in 70 CE. The Western Wall, the retaining wall of Herod’s platform, is the closest Jews currently pray to the site.
The status quo. Since Israel captured East Jerusalem in 1967, a fragile arrangement has held: Jordan’s Islamic Waqf administers the compound; Israel controls security access. Jews may visit during limited hours but may not pray on the mount. This arrangement has survived five decades, two intifadas, and several wars. Every serious rupture in Israeli-Palestinian relations since 2000 has involved the compound.
Why it’s in the eschatology column. Dispensationalist prophecy requires a Third Temple on the mount for the Antichrist to desecrate (2 Thess 2:4) and for certain end-times sacrifices to resume (Dan 9:27). The Temple Institute in Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter has spent decades preparing architectural plans, priestly garments, and ritual vessels. The obstacle is physical: Al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock sit on the site. Removing or damaging either structure would trigger a conflict that makes the current war look contained.
The scenario the user asked about. An Israeli strike on or demolition of Al-Aqsa — whether deliberate or as collateral damage during a broader regional conflict — would unite the Islamic world in a way no other event could. It would end Jordan’s peace treaty overnight, collapse the Abraham Accords, and likely draw in states that have stayed on the sidelines of the current Iran war. From the dispensationalist vantage point, that escalation is itself prophetic: Zechariah 12:3 describes Jerusalem as a “cup of trembling” and a “burdensome stone” that injures all who try to move it.
Where it stands today. Israeli far-right coalition members, including National Security Minister Ben Gvir, have repeatedly visited the compound and called for changing the status quo to allow Jewish prayer. The Temple Mount Faithful movement holds regular demonstrations. Palestinian Authority President Abbas has called any change to Al-Aqsa’s status a “red line.” Jordan’s King Abdullah, custodian of the holy sites, has warned that altering the arrangement would have “catastrophic consequences.” The compound sits at the intersection of religion, sovereignty, and prophecy — and every actor involved knows it.
Tone: Excited. Not “oh no, war” but “oh yes, prophecy.” This theological tradition is the only one where a major Middle East conflict is, structurally, good news.
Stonebriar Church wrapped its “End Times for Our Times” prophecy conference May 1–2. Tickets were $45. The gift shop, presumably, persists.
Tone: Pastoral concern. The focus is on the people in the blast radius, not the prophetic timeline.
Tone: Ancient. Patient. Also complicated by the fact that Moscow’s church and Moscow’s foreign policy are reading from the same briefing book.
Tone: Frustrated. A lot of “this is not what Revelation means” energy.
